What is a Porterhouse?
A Porterhouse is a cut of beefsteak from the front of the short loin that includes the T-bone with beef on each side of the bone. The smaller part of the T-Bone, when presented alone, is known as the filet mignon, while the larger portion is known as the New York Strip. The porterhouse has a larger filet portion than a classic T-bone steak.
